beat365官方网站音乐学系外籍教师、世界著名印度塔布拉鼓演奏家、音乐制作人萨瑞特· 达斯(Sarit Das)老师于2021年4月30日因新冠肺炎突然恶化,导致心力衰竭,医治无效,在印度古尔冈(Gurugram)市医院病逝,享年53岁。

  对萨瑞特老师的不幸逝世,我们深表哀悼!特向他的家人和好友表示深切慰问!

Obituary

 

Sarit Das, foreign teacher of Musicology Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, world famous Indian Tabla player and music producer, passed away in Gurugram City Hospital, India on April 30, 2021 at the age of 53, due to a sudden deterioration of COVID-19, which resulted in heart failure and failed treatment..

 

We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of Sarit Das. We would like to express our deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

萨瑞特·达斯老师生平

 

萨瑞特·达斯老师出生于印度加尔各答的音乐世家,由母亲启蒙,随后师从塔布拉鼓传奇大师Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh和Pandit Shankar Ghosh。他还在Shakar Banerjee的指导下学习印度手风琴,之后前往英国剑桥大学三一学院学习钢琴演奏。丰富的音乐学习经历使他能够灵活掌握、运用多种音乐风格进行创作与演奏

1990年至2000年,萨瑞特老师在印度及海外重要音乐节演奏塔布拉鼓,职业音乐家生涯就此拉开帷幕。他曾在世界20多个国家巡演,与多位知名演奏家和作曲家合作,获得极高赞誉;在印度各大电台和电视台工作,为宝莱坞影片、纪录片、戏剧、芭蕾以及海内外知名作曲家的音乐专辑进行配乐,录制大量音乐专辑;积极参与音乐公益事业,致力于用音乐康复精神残疾儿童的研究,希望通过塔布拉的演奏传递音乐的美妙与快乐。

2017年至今,萨瑞特老师任职于beat365官方网站音乐学系世界民族音乐教研室,教授《印度塔布拉鼓演奏》系列课程到目前为止,全院已有超过400位同学选修过此门课程,将复杂的印度节奏体系以及世界民族音乐文化传授给各专业和层次的学生们,开拓了学生们的视野,让学生们受益匪浅。除此之外,他自2013年起参加我系主办的世界音乐周系列学术活动,四年间他曾多次参与到院组织的国内外的音乐节、讲座、音乐会以及大师课当中,为我院的世界音乐教学和实践以及中印文化交流做出了重要贡献。他的教学经历和实践经验在我已形成较为成熟的教学体系和模式,受到不同专业学生的喜爱。萨瑞特老师为人师表、严谨治学、爱生乐教、无私奉献,直到生命最后一刻还坚持在教学岗位!

Mr. Sarit Das was born in a musical family in Kolkata, India. He was enlightened by his mother and then studied under the legendary Tabla masters Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh and Pandit Shankar Ghosh. He also studied the Indian accordion under the guidance of Shakar Banerjee, and then went to the Trinity College of Cambridge University to study piano performance. Rich music learning experience enables him to flexibly master and use a variety of music styles to compose and perform.

 

From 1990 to 2000, Sariperformed Tabla at important music festivals in India and overseas, and his career as a professional musician began. He toured in more than 20 countries around the world, worked with many well-known performers and composers, and won high praise.He also worked for various radio and TV stations in India, produced soundtracks for Bollywood films, documentaries, plays, ballets and music albums by well-known domestic and overseas composers. Besides,he actively participated in music public welfare undertakings, committed to the study of the rehabilitation of mentally disabled children with music, and hoped to convey the beauty and happiness of music through the performance of Tabla.

 

Since 2017, Sarit worked as a teacher of Musicology of the Central Conservatory of Musicand  set up a series of courses of "Indian Tabla Performance".So far, more than 400 students in the consservatory have taken this course. He taught the complex Indian rhythm system and the world's folk music culture to students of all majors and levels, broadening the students’ horizons and benefited the students a lot. In addition, he participated in a series of academic activities such as World Music Days hosted by our department since 2013. In the past four years, he participated in many domestic and foreign music festivals, lectures, concerts and master classes organized by our conservatory. Among them, he made important contributions to the teaching and practice of world music in our conservatory and cultural exchanges between China and India. His teaching and practical experience have formed a relatively mature teaching system and model in our conservatory, which is loved by students of different majors.He was strict to himselfhad rigorous teaching attitude,loved his students and teaching carrer, had spirit of selfless dedication and insisted on teaching until the last moment of his life!
